"BLISS MOMENT" June 26, 2009

So this morning I woke up before the twins and was enjoying the peace-and -quiet and a warm cup of coffee and it started to pour rain so I went outside and all of the birds in the big trees behind our house were singing-It was like they were all taking a bath and enjoying every second of it-isn't nature just amazing sometimes!!!

Well things have been totally crazy at the Lewis house-Evan and Ellie are both walking and they are into everything!! They are really starting to become their own little people-their personalities are so funny-they are really starting to catch on to things-they just amaze me everyday! Ellie "Booty Shakes" on demand-it is hilarious whenever we sing "Shake your Booty" she starts shaking her little hips back and forth. Evan is obsessed with the garden hose-he sits and plays with it forever and he pretends like he is watering the flowers. And last but not least they no longer have the "ba-ba" I just decided it was time last week and I just took it away- It was a pretty hellacious week-since they both relied on it to go to sleep-but we got through it and I am so glad to have that one is behind us.

"BLISS MOMENT" May 10, 2009

So this year was my first "Mother's Day"-I actually had the babies last year-but our lives were so crazy with Evan and Ellie being in the hospital that we didn't even celebrate it! So this was the first year that I actually celebrated it! How amazing to have a day that is dedicated to mom's we all get so caught up in our day to day duties that we don't get told "Thank You" very often-so it is really nice to hear it. All I can say is that I am so thankful that I can finally be a part of this holiday-I spent so many years wanting nothing more than to be a mom and now I finally am! I really cannot think of anything I would rather be doing-I love taking care of Evan and Ellie and watching them grow and learn everyday! I only work 2 days a week at the most and on the days that I have to leave them my heart hurts-I am just so content to stay home and do the "mom thing" I hope that I will always be grateful for Mother's Day and remember what it felt like to want to be a mom so badly! Thank you Evan and Ellie for making me a mom and I hope that I can be the best mom to you! Love You Lots!!! Mommy

Evan and Ellie's 1st Birthday!

I can not even believe that a year has already gone by! Their birthday was totally bittersweet, on one hand I am glad that they are getting older and more independent but it makes me so sad to think of how fast time flies. It has been such a crazy year with tons and tons of changes in our lives. I can not even believe how much happiness Evan and Ellie bring to my everyday-they truly are my life-I can't even imagine my life without them!! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little family-I wake up every morning feeling totally complete! And I just hope that I can cherish every moment of this next year of their lives as much as I have cherished this one! We had such a FUN party-we invited all of our family and friends-it was totally crazy and I think that Evan and Ellie were a little overwhelmed-but hey you only turn ONE once! I can not even believe the amount of presents they got-It was like Christmas in April! It was so nice to have every one over and have them help us celebrate Evan and Ellie's first year-they are so loved and it really shows!!

"BLISS MOMENT" April 22, 2009

So it is totally starting to sound like spring!! Yesterday I was working in my yard and I could hear people mowing their lawns-I loved it and then when I woke up this morning I could hear birds singing-I can't think of a better sound to wake up to! I realized how blessed I am to be able to hear this everyday little sounds! I need to stop and take notice more often. All I can say is that I think Summer is on it's way!!!

Evan and Ellie's 1st Easter!

For Easter we ate lunch at my mom and dad's house-and Evan and Ellie opened all of their Easter goodies. You would have thought it was Christmas all over again, they got so many presents! It was such a gorgeous day that we let them hang out in their walkers outside-they loved it-they just cruised around everywhere. We had a really great day it was so much fun to be able to get together with all of the family!

On Saturday we decorated Easter Eggs at my mom and dads. Evan and Ellie got to try their first hard-boiled egg. They weren't really that into them! We tried mod-podging our eggs we got the idea out of the April Martha Stewart Mag.-they were so much fun! We definately need to remember to do that again next year!
